About Me

In May of 2023, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications from the University of Mississippi. In 2026, I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with my Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree.

My passion for librarianship comes from my love of reading, learning, and helping others. I have a special interest in children’s librarianship because I believe libraries play an important role in helping children develop a love for books and learning at an early age.

Throughout my graduate studies, I have developed a deeper appreciation for the many ways public libraries serve their communities. My coursework has allowed me to explore areas such as early literacy, youth programming, collection development, and information services. Additionally, my background in integrated marketing communications has provided me with skills that I hope to use to promote library programs, connect with communities, and increase awareness of valuable library resources.

As I begin my professional journey, I look forward to combining my knowledge of librarianship and communications to make a positive difference in the lives of children and families through public library services.
